Its principal use is to atraumatically hold and retract the conjunctiva and other delicate tissues of the eye.
Bonaccolto Conjunctival Forceps features a spring handle with outer transverse ridges. As a result, surgeons can close the jaws against each other with controlled pressure to minimize trauma.
